25+ ARQUIMEA Mentors
3 Days of Challenge
From June 3 to 5, ARQUIMEA held the first edition of the ARQUIMEA Global Tech Challenge in Madrid, an initiative designed to bring university students closer to the real challenges of the technology industry and foster the development of the talent that will lead the strategic projects of the future.

Under the theme EURODOME: Crisis Procurement Cell, the Challenge brought together 44 Master’s students from different STEM academic disciplines at the Puerta de Toledo Campus of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Over three days, they worked in multidisciplinary teams to solve a complex scenario inspired by a real procurement and acquisition process in a crisis context.
The Challenge
Through this immersive experience, participants had the opportunity to take on challenges similar to those faced by leading technology and industrial organizations, developing key skills such as:
Strategic analysis.
Decision-making under pressure.
Teamwork.
Innovation.
Communication skills.
The Challenge enabled them to address complex problems, manage information in contexts of uncertainty, and present their proposals before an evaluation committee made up of ARQUIMEA professionals.
The Program
The program was designed to bring participants closer to the reality of a technology and industrial company like ARQUIMEA. Over the course of three days, they combined teamwork sessions, mentoring with company professionals, training activities, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Among the highlights of the event was a talk by Rocío Vidal, better known as La Gata de Schrödinger, a renowned journalist and science communicator, who shared her insights on science, critical thinking, and the role of knowledge as a driver of progress.

The experience was further enriched by a visit to ARQUIMEA’s facilities, where participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the environment, technologies, and projects that drive the company’s innovation.

The final stage of the ARQUIMEA Global Tech Challenge culminated with each team presenting the solutions they had developed before an evaluation committee made up of ARQUIMEA professionals, who assessed the technical quality of the proposals, their feasibility, strategic approach, and the participants’ ability to defend their projects.
All teams received cash prizes in recognition of their effort, dedication, and the level demonstrated throughout the competition.

The closing day also featured the presence of Diego Fernández, President of ARQUIMEA, who joined the participants for the final presentations and the awards ceremony, highlighting the company’s commitment to developing young talent and strengthening the connection between academia and business.
