We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with the mission of  developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures, specifically for space application. 

Tasks to be performed: 

• Review and extraction of quality assurance requirements from documentation.

• Establish, implement, and maintain a software assurance plan and practices used to ensure products and tools conform to company standards of excellence.

• Review customer, system and software requirements to ensure the flow down of requirements is complete and unambiguous.

• Interface with software engineers in the verification of product design, quality, and reliability.

• Provide oversight in discrepancy review and software failure investigation as well as cause and corrective action determinations.

• Witness software build testing, flight software qualification, and integration and test.

• Provide lab support and lab verification.

• Ability to work independently and with a significant level of autonomy to develop technical and programmatic solutions.

• Report status, risks, and estimates-to-complete on all tasks to management.

Required skills, experience and candidate profile:

• Degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science. Master´s Degree related is a plus.

• At least 2 years of software and/or quality assurance experience.

• Application of technical expertise including complete understanding of software assurance fundamental engineering principles, practices, and theories.

• Experience with ISO and AS9100 standards requirements.

• Experience with AS9115.

• At least 1 year of aerospace and avionics experience.

• System level integration and debug.

• Good understanding of software development life cycles that align with AS9100.

• Agile experience in software products compliance audits and root cause corrective action.
