ARQUIMEA Research Center (ARC), part of ARQUIMEA , was born in 2019 with the aim of inventing the technologies of tomorrow. An environment of innovation and excellence at European level from which senior and junior researchers from around the world develop disruptive technologies and business models that will serve as an engine of socio-economic growth in the medium and long term.
We are looking for a Laboratory Intern to support Arquimea Research Center (ARC) laboratory with hands-on prototyping, basic electronics assembly, and 3D printing while learning ARC methods, workflows, and safety practices. The intern will contribute to test setups, measurements and documentation, gaining end-to-end exposure to lab operations.
Tasks to be performed:
- Operate and maintain 3D printers; prepare materials and slicing files; execute prints and perform post-processing.
- Assemble simple electronic circuits; assist with PCB handling and basic testing under supervision.
- Set up and support laboratory tests and measurements; keep benches and tools organized; follow EHS procedures.
- Prepare and document build notes, test logs and results using ARC templates and tools.
- Manage consumables and materials for prints and prototypes, with special emphasis on inventory control of components, ensuring accurate and updated stock records.
- Prepare and maintain documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, following and completing established company procedures.
- Supervise the overall condition of the laboratory regarding order, cleanliness and proper arrangement of equipment and materials, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Learn and apply ARC workflows for prototyping, quality checks and basic troubleshooting
Required skills, experience and candidate profile:
- No prior professional experience required. Academic or personal projects are valued.

Additionally, we will also value experience in the following areas:
- Specific Training / Knowledge Required in:
- Experience with CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, NX, Altium) and slicing tools is a plus
- Basic tool handling and measurement equipment; introductory CAD/3D printing; safety mindset; eagerness to learn.
