In ARQUIMEA AEROSPACE DEFENCE & SECURITY develops safer and more reliable defense systems through technology, including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems.

We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer whose primary role will involve design and integration of control systems and algorithms for mechatronic systems, focusing on robots and UAVs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design and specifications of control systems and algorithms for mechatronic systems both at guidance and navigation level as at low level (stabilization, actuator control...).
• Selection of sensors and actuators for control systems.
• Integration, processing and sensor fusion.
• Test support: development of test benches, test and integration campaigns, tuning and analysis of controllers.
• Development of new architectures, products and solutions.
• Design and testing of PCBs.
• FW coding in C, primarily.
• Development of technical documentation.

Required skills, experience and candidate profile: 

Education:

• Level – Degree: • University degree /master’s in aeronautics, electronics, robotics or similar.
  Additional Training/Qualifications:
  
  • Advanced english proficiency is essential.
    
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    

Specific Knowledge:

• Experience in C programming.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
• Programming and implementation of control systems on embedded systems (ARM architecture).
• Knowledge of computer vision.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• Experience with sensor selection and intergration systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of system modelling and simulation.

Minimum Required Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in control systems design.
• Experience in the design and analysis of aerial platforms and their control systems (UAV).
• Desirable previous experience in the defence sector.

The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
